Children's authors event yields donations, advice, smiles

The semi-annual "Peach & Friends" was another success, with the event leading to the donation of more than 100 children's books to the Children's Cancer Network's "Admission Bag" backpack for young patients.

Many thanks to Kathy Peach for organizing a wonderful afternoon with colleagues Conrad Storad, Jean Ekman Adams, Michael Hale, Al Quihuis and Eileen Pieczonka.

And a special thank-you to Carol Hageman, who was not able to make the event but wanted to donate copies of her book, "Bubby's Puddle Pond: A Tortuga's Tale of the Desert," to the cause.

The day also featured the involvement of Patti Luttrell, the founder of CCN, who shared the beginnings of the non-profit organization in this video:
